As part of Qliro’s Legal team, you will support our business with high-quality legal advice, working closely with teams across the company to ensure compliance and facilitate growth. Our legal function plays a key role in everything from product development to commercial partnerships, ensuring that Qliro continues to operate as a trusted and compliant financial services provider. As a Senior Legal Counsel with a strong regulatory focus, you will play a key role in supporting the business in a highly regulated environment. You will work closely with commercial, product and management teams, providing pragmatic legal advice that enables growth while ensuring compliance.
What you will get to do
As Senior Legal Counsel, you'll play a key role in ensuring we operate responsibly and compliantly, with a strong focus on navigating complex legal and regulatory landscapes. While your primary focus will be on regulatory matters, you’ll also advise on a wide range of legal topics, from product launches to commercial agreements.
- Advising on regulatory and financial services law, including ICT risk and outsourcing regulations (such as DORA), credit market regulations and other consumer protection laws as well as tech-focused regulations such as DORA, GDPR, the EU AI Act
- Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements and strategic partnerships agreements
- Be a key player in product development, ensuring legal compliance while enabling innovation
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments and assess their impact on the business
- Drive strategic legal initiatives and processes as well as risk assessments to align with regulatory requirements and business goals
- Supporting the organization in privacy-related matters
What you bring to the team
- A law degree and at least 5-8 years of experience working with financial regulations and/or commercial agreements, either from a law firm or an in-house role at a fintech, bank, or payment provider
- You are an experienced legal professional with excellent legal skills, who has an interest in and understanding of business in a broad and dynamic context
- Experience in regulatory and financial services law, consumer credit regulations and other financial regulations, as well as privacy matters, is meriting
- A pragmatic and business-oriented approach to legal challenges
- Strong collaboration skills and a team player
- Comfortable working in a cross-border environment
- Fluency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken
